B&B’guette Vietnamese Kitchen, located at Melbourne Quarter, 699 Collins Street, Docklands, is a contemporary Vietnamese eatery serving a busy mix of office workers, local residents, and city commuters. The brief was to deliver a functional, welcoming shopfit that reflected the brand’s fresh, energetic identity while supporting a high-volume, fast-paced service environment. Key requirements included an efficient kitchen and preparation area, a strong and engaging service counter, and clear customer flow within a compact inner-city tenancy. The client’s direction was clear: the fitout needed to be clean, inviting, and highly durable to withstand the demands of daily trade.
We managed the full joinery scope, working closely with the client, designer, and trades to refine the layout and material selections. Our role was to translate the design intent into practical, buildable joinery solutions that could be prefabricated off-site for efficient installation. From the front service counter to custom shelving and integrated storage, all joinery was manufactured in our workshop to suit the kitchen workflow and support fast, efficient service.
To enhance the brand’s modern, street-fresh aesthetic, we incorporated light, robust finishes, clean lines, and carefully detailed joinery that neatly concealed equipment and services while keeping the space open and approachable. The transition between counter and kitchen was optimised to allow smooth staff movement during peak periods, without interrupting customer circulation. Installation was delivered within tight timeframes to ensure the venue opened as scheduled.
The finished space is streamlined, vibrant, and aligned with B&B’guette’s brand identity, with a strong emphasis on practicality and longevity. The venue now operates efficiently in a high-traffic CBD location, with durable joinery that maintains a polished, professional appearance. Customers are welcomed into a bright, contemporary interior, while staff benefit from a well-organised workspace that supports quick service and seamless daily operations.
