China Bar, located at SHOP 444/447, Stockland, Level 1/2 Main St, Point Cook VIC 3030, is a modern Asian dining venue designed to cater to a diverse mix of families, local residents, and weekend visitors. The brief was to deliver a functional, inviting shopfit that reflected the brand’s vibrant identity while accommodating both dine-in service and high customer turnover. The space needed to integrate an efficient kitchen and prep area, a bold and eye-catching service counter, and comfortable seating that could handle peak trading periods. The client’s vision was clear: the fitout had to feel energetic yet organised, with a strong focus on finish, durability, and flow.
We managed the full joinery scope, working closely with the client, designer, and other trades to ensure the layout, materials, and details were both practical and aligned with the brand. Our first step was to interpret the design into functional joinery elements that could be prefabricated and installed seamlessly within the centre’s requirements. From the service counter to custom wall panelling, shelving, and concealed storage solutions, every component was carefully crafted to balance aesthetics with day-to-day functionality.
To bring the concept to life, we used darker timber tones, bold accents, and clean finishes that reflect China Bar’s contemporary Asian aesthetic. Joinery was detailed to discreetly house equipment and cabling, while remaining easy to access for staff. The workflow from kitchen to dining area was designed to support efficient service during busy hours, ensuring staff could move quickly without impacting customer comfort. Installation was completed within a strict timeframe to meet the centre’s opening schedule.
The finished space is dynamic, well-organised, and aligned with the China Bar brand. The fitout balances durability with visual impact, creating a dining environment that feels both modern and welcoming. Customers enjoy a polished interior with strong brand presence, while staff benefit from an intuitive workspace that supports seamless service. China Bar Point Cook now has a shopfit that enhances its food offering and delivers a consistent, memorable dining experience.
