Wooss Cafe, located at G01/228 La Trobe Street in Melbourne, is a vibrant café concept aimed at delivering fast, quality coffee and casual dining to the city’s busy crowd. The client engaged us to complete a full shopfit that could support quick service, efficient food prep, and a clean, welcoming customer experience. The design needed to reflect the modern, urban personality of the brand while making smart use of a tight floorplan and strict tenancy requirements. With high daily foot traffic and limited storage, the fit-out had to balance aesthetics, compliance, and day-to-day functionality.
We worked with the client and their design team to bring the concept to life with durable, high-quality joinery built to withstand commercial demands. The fit-out included a custom-built front counter with integrated coffee service zones, wall-mounted display shelving, under-counter refrigeration housing, and concealed storage. Every detail—from benchtop cut-outs to power access—was carefully considered to streamline service operations and reduce clutter.
We used warm timber tones, matte black fittings, and neutral finishes to deliver a contemporary, grounded look that suited the brand identity. Joinery was manufactured in our workshop to match exact dimensions and specifications, allowing for a smooth and fast installation on-site. We also worked closely with other trades to coordinate timing and access, delivering the project on schedule without disruption to surrounding tenancies.
The finished space is compact but efficient, with a smooth flow between customer, prep, and service areas. The joinery offers clean lines, durable surfaces, and integrated functionality that supports the staff during peak trading hours. Wooss Cafe now operates in a polished, modern fit-out that’s easy to maintain and reflects the fast, fresh approach of the brand. The project was completed on time, within budget, and ready for immediate handover. The client was extremely satisfied with the result and the space now stands out as a strong retail presence on a competitive street.
